THE LEVEE BREAKERS blues band was founded in 1996 by Rob Robertson and Ryan Reardon amid a thriving blues scene in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Drawing inspiration from local influences — Little Whitt Wells, Topper Price, Jerry McCain… and beyond — Anson Funderburgh, James Harman, Walter Wolfman Washington…
The Levee Breakers built a foundation in the blues tradition, but eventually cut their own path with a signature sound that mixed a lot of musical styles. They were known as song-oriented with lyrical & musical depth. A “live band” through and through, able to stretch out and throw down in any venue.
Over seven years, The ‘Breakers released studio albums of original material and toured a full calendar of live dates.
